You can use this pudding in your banana pudding recipe. This recipe also works with a 9-inch pie shell, making great custard pie. This can be served in individual servings such as we show it or top it with fruit, whipped cream, cookies, candies and more. You can also add pineapple or coconut to this recipe. Add a bit of almond flavor to give it a different flavor!

Tip
This burns easily, so keep stirring and pay attention when you’re on the stove. It only took about 4-5 minutes. You can also purchase egg whites in containers. They are near the eggs.

Old fashioned vanilla pudding
This homemade vanilla pudding is perfect for a simple dessert. You can also use this pudding with banana pudding or make pie. delicious!
Mix the wire whisk with milk, salt, egg yolk, cornstarch, sugar and vanilla in a pot on the stove. Cut the butter into small pieces and add to the pan.
Cook over medium heat until boiling, and thicken with a whisk constantly stirring. It burns easily, so keep stirring. I cook for about 4 or 5 minutes in total.
You should be able to know when it will start to foam and thicken. Pour into serving food. Let it cool in the fridge.
Sprinkle with selected nutmeg or cinnamon and fruit for toppings. Create approximately 4 servings.
This amount becomes one pie. Simply pour it into a baked 9-inch shell. You can do everything with this pudding. Perfect for banana pudding. You can add pineapple or any kind of fruit to the actual pudding. Children and adults love it. Create different individual servings.
