If you’re looking for a simple breakfast pastry that feels like your favorite coffee shop, this easy cream cheese Danish is it. Using crescent dough instead of puff pastry sheets makes it quick and friendly, but the result is a great cheese offering the flaky golden look and creamy centre you need in Denmark. This is one of the simple breakfast recipes that hit the sweet spot between effort and payoff and will blow your socks off completely!

Are Danes not usually made with puff pastries?
Yes, yes, that’s right. Puff pastry dough is made with flour, water and butter. After that, you will create a layer and unfold it several times and collapse it. When baked, an air pocket is created within the layer to create a light, flake-like pastry. Crescent roll dough is made with similar ingredients and sugar, which is a bit sweet, but has the light, flake-like texture that we all love in Danish and other pastries. This recipe uses crescent roll dough. Honestly, it’s something I had on hand. It turns out to be a little easier and great!

Simple Cream Cheese Ingredients Needed for Denmark
You only need a few basic items. Most of them are probably already on hand.
Crescent Roll Dough – A shortcut to that flaky butter crust of homemade puff pastry cream cheese, softened to room temperature – this gives a smooth cream cheese filling with chunkless granulated sugar – just the right amount of sweetness for a full filling. More Vanilla Extract – Make that perfect drizzle icing on top

Variations
You can easily switch things up and make this recipe your own:
You can exchange crescent rolls for puff pastry dough, or even croissant dough, add a spoonful of lemon curd or strawberry jam over cream cheese, add a little sour cream or lemon juice, add a little sour cream or lemon juice, add a little sour cream or lemon juice, use a little sour cream or lemon juice, use a bit of sour cream or lemon juice, use a sugary atmosphere of panic acid, or use a dive hole. How to make Danish cheese
For more information on the complete recipes that include ingredient measurements, see the printable recipe cards below. What you can expect when creating this recipe is step by step.
1. Preheat oven + Combine filling ingredients in a bowl
Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, flour and vanilla extract using a fork or hand blender. Please put it aside.

2. Place the crescent-shaped dough on the top plate
Pop and roll the open crescent roll dough, leaving the crescent moon rectangular. Place the crescent moon rectangles together on an unoiled baking sheet and line it up above the width. The dough should be a half sheet pan that is almost entire length. Press the edges to even out the edges and seal the holes.

3. Add cream cheese filling
Carefully spread the cream cheese to make the center of the dough about 2-3 inches wide.

Next, cut 1/2 inch diagonal strips on each side of the dough. Fold 1/2 inch fabric pieces to fill the alternating sides to get a braided pattern. Once you reach the end of the Danes, you may have extra fabric, so fold as much as possible.

4. Bake
Bake for 20-30 minutes or until the filling is set and the crescent moon is golden brown. Cool before removing it from the top.

5. Create the icing
Once the Danes have cooled down, move on to the serving platter. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, vanilla extract and cream to create the icing. You may need to add more cream to get the consistency you want.

6. Drizzle, cut + serve!
Drizzle icing over Denmark. Cut into small pieces and serve.

Storage + Create a direction to the destination
The remaining cheese Danish should be refrigerated and covered for up to a week! This is not a Danish word bought in a sitting store. There are no crazy preservatives here, so be sure to refrigerate them.
frozen
Unfortunately, this cheese Danish does not freeze well. This is because when the cream cheese filling freezes, the texture changes and thaws again. It’s not a creamy filling, it’s a more crunchy texture. EW.
But if you want to make this Danish recipe without cream cheese stuffing, you can freeze it (not baked or baked).
Not baked. Prepare the recipe perfectly to the baking point. Place in a parchment lined baking sheet on an unfrozen baking sheet, in the freezer for several hours until frozen. Once frozen, remove from the baking sheet and place it in an airtight container. Return to the freezer for up to 2 months.
You can bake Denmark directly from the freezer. Bake and give it an extra 15-20 minutes to see and see!
Grilled. Allow the Danes to cool completely and place in an airtight container. It can last up to 2 weeks in the freezer. When ready, remove from the freezer and thaw the fridge overnight. Place the denmark on top of Denmark until heated. Store leftovers in the fridge.
