This homemade Chicken Labyrinth mix adds a rich and delicious flavour to your favorite dishes. Perfect accompaniment for roast chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffings, biscuits and more.

This dry gravy mix is a shelf stable version of my Easy Chicken Ravy recipe, and it corresponds to a total of 3/4 cups, depending on the amount of dry gravy used per batch.

Ingredients and alternatives

The main ingredients needed to make a Chicking Ravy mix are: You can view the complete list of ingredients with the recipe cards below.

Chicken Bouillon Powder: Knorr and Wylers are two popular brands. If you want a low-sodium version, Herbal Oxford offers the right alternative.

Water: You can use chicken broth or drip bread instead of water to amplify the flavor. I highly recommend sticking to sodium soup.

Cornstarch: If you don’t want to use cornstarch, use 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour instead.

Gravy Mix Recipe

To turn your dry Chick King Lavy mix into actual gravy, make 2-3 tablespoons of butter and gravy mix. Add the soup slowly and cook until the proper consistency of the gravy is painful.

This is a bunch of more homemade dry mixes to add to your pantry.

How to use Chicking Labyrinth Mix

Here are some of my favorite recipes serving gravy:

Chicken ravy with mashed potatoes next to baked chicken.

Recipe Tips and Notes

Adjust the spices and they’re perfect for your taste. Don’t you like thyme? Use rosemary. Like gravy with a garlic flavor? Add garlic powder. For thick gravy, add flour or cornstarch. For thin gravy, add 1 tablespoon of water at a time until you reach the desired consistency. Most chicken bouillon powders are highly salty. Look for a lower sodium version to dramatically reduce salt.
