How to make a chocolate chip cookie muffin recipe

Now that we’ve seen how this recipe is made, let’s walk through the steps.

Preparation: Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a 12 cup muffin pan or arrange the muffin liner in the cup. Dry Ingredients: Combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl and whisk to mix. Wet ingredients: Mix all wet ingredients together until they are fully combined. Combination: Make a well in the center of the dry material. Pour the milk mixture into the wells and stir with a wooden spoon until the wells are combined. Fold: Add chocolate chips and fold them into muffin batter. Bake: Place the muffin can in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Test with a toothpick. It should come out nicely. Cool: Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes before digging.

All of these instructions are provided in detail. It is listed on the recipe card below.

Are muffins healthier than donuts?

It depends on the muffins. Many types of muffins are actually more fat and calories than donuts. To know for sure, check the nutritional information.

Variations of chocolate chip muffins recipes

The chocolate chips in this recipe are all kinds of chocolate chips you love. I personally love semi-sweet chocolate chips in the recipe, but milk or dark chocolate is great, or the chocolate combination also works.

If you’re a nut lover, both chopped walnuts or pecans will be delicious in this recipe.

If you want to try the real treat, add 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon to the dried ingredients in this recipe. It adds a warm comforting flavour that you like.

Best muffin tips

When it comes to making soft, damp muffins with a large dome, I found some tricks that would help:

Make sure you have fresh ingredients, especially baking powder. When it comes to getting that fluffy dome on top of the muffin, the vast agents will become a huge contributor. Don’t overmix the batter! I would like to thoroughly combine wet and dry ingredients, but it won’t mix. Fill in the paper liner using #20 size Cookie Scoop to get even batters and similar size baked muffins in each cup. #20 Cookie Scoop is 3 tablespoons. Once you’ve filled the batter in a muffin liner, sprinkle some chocolate chips on top and look pretty nice when baked. When you store the muffins (the entire section is below), you can stick a paper towel on top of the muffins to control the moisture. Sometimes the muffins get a little soaked when you sit down, but we don’t want that!

Storage Tips

Freshly baked muffins will last for about a week. Muffins should be stored in airtight containers or plastic bags. They can be stored at room temperature or in the fridge.

The muffins also freeze very well. Once they have cooled completely, place them in freezer safe containers. They will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months. Set it at room temperature for 20 or 30 minutes and thaw or pop in the microwave for 30 seconds. They make great breakfasts on the go for busy mornings!
