This tangy mint sauce for lamb is rich and creamy and ready in just 5 minutes. With just a handful of ingredients, including Greek yogurt, fresh mint, garlic and lemon, you can create the perfect lamb dipping sauce for your favorite lamb recipes.
There’s nothing better than dipping a fully cooked lamb in a complimentary cold lamb sauce. The Tzatziki sauce is my usual go-to, but I sometimes confuse it with this soaked sauce, which is very similar but does not contain cucumbers.
Lamb in mint sauce
This mint sauce for this lamb recipe is 2 cups, equal to 8 servings (2 tablespoons per serving). Use in all lamb recipes, such as lamb lollipops, lamb smoked cracks, lamb smoked legs, lamb leg legs, or sous video lamb chops.

Ingredients and alternatives
This shows you the simple ingredients you need to make this quick and easy sauce for lamb chops along with substitute ideas.
The entire list of ingredients can be found in the recipe cards below.
Greek Yogurt – Not too tart, we recommend sticking to the brand you love. Very tart (like oikos) brands make the yogurt dipping sauce a tart. I cling to Chobani or Greek gods.
Lemon Juice – Always use fresh lemon juice – bottled juices do not have the same “fresh” flavor. A great alternative to equal parts is white wine vinegar.
Fresh Mint – I use fresh mint, a classic herb pairing for yogurt sauce, but dill and oregano make a great alternative.
When making this recipe for rum sauce, the quality of the ingredients is important. All components contribute to the flavor, texture and appeal of the final product. I’ll shop accordingly.

Tips for making lamb sauce
This sauce is paired very well with this lamb seasoning. Store lamb and mint sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Try it 24 hours ahead for the best texture and flavor. Storage – Store in a fridge airtight container for up to 4 days.
