The first time I tried Honey Honey on Pepperoni Pizza, I fell in love with it. Brands like Mike’s Hot Honey are easy to find online and in grocery stores, but they aren’t cheap. After purchasing a few jars, I knew I had to make it at home.
For my first homemade jar, I used fresh chili peppers from my garden. I grow a variety of chili peppers, so I’ve tried everything from medium-spicy jalapeño and serrano peppers to super-spicy Scotch Bonnet and habanero peppers.
Once the growing season was over, I switched to this version with hot sauce and dried chili flakes. It’s now my favorite hot honey sauce recipe because it’s so simple and delicious.
