Welcome to the weekend, my friends! It’s chilly to see rain all day here in Ohio. The weather is perfect for a cozy, indoor stay. As I was writing this, the soup started and I stirred up a batch of ice cream. I have a new book on my Kindle and will sit in the puzzle later, so I’ll be happy to bring some rainy things on Saturday when I can fill it up like this.
On this week’s blog, I’ve been a favorite of this cheesy bacon quiche for many years. What do you like about the flake-like pie crust filled with fluffy, cheesy eggs and plenty of bacon?
This soft, sweet blueberry banana bread is an attractive riff on classic banana bread. Combine this slice of bread with its bacon quiche, like the intersection of blueberry muffins and banana bread.
If you like the classic spinach artichoke dip, you will love this spinach artichoke pasta. We’re talking about pasta enrobing in a completely flavorful, cheesy cream sauce that actively bursts with spinach and soft artichokes. Pure heaven!
What do you get when you let freshly baked potatoes shine on humble cauliflower? This loaded cauliflower casserole is a tender, roasted cauliflower with the goodness of all cheddar, bacon, green onions, all cheddar, bacon, green onions and sour cream from all of my favorite baked potatoes.
As a dedicated fan and a vocal lover of everything sweet and salty, I am now saying that chocolate covered potato chips need to be on your must-see list as soon as possible. I’m sure you can’t eat just one!
To make this simple hot fudge sauce, you only need two ingredients and about 5 minutes. Creamy, rich, rich, chocolatey hot fudge is a dream for any ice cream lover (and often the “must always be at home” requirement)!
Give the brownies and ice cream on almost all other baked good cream combinations. So of course, this chocolate fudge brownie ice cream is served with rich deep chocolate ice cream packed completely with chunks of chocolate-like crunchy, chatty brownies, and loudly squealed I’m calling.
What I crave: All Greens and Vegetables! I didn’t have the habit of preparing daily salads on weekends so I went shopping for produce yesterday and this is what will happen. I look forward to seeing fresh salads ready every day this week.
My favorite of the week is my Epsom salt and foam bath. Not only does eucalyptus and spearmint smell amazing, but muscle relief is valuable. Both of these products have been staple food in my bathroom for at least 5 years. I love both of them.
What I’m listening to: I won’t lose my sight by Chris Tomlin. I loved his version of song, a good good father for many years, and this whole album is lovely.
What I’m reading: Ron Hall and Denver Moore, just like me. The book would be a great read as pure fiction in its own right, but the fact that it is a true story makes it better and totally engrossed. I don’t often recommend books that made me cry, but I would recommend this to everyone.
“We will not shake, and we will quickly hold our profession of faith, for he is the faithful he has promised. And we will think of each other, provoke love, provoke good work. Let’s do it.” Hebrew 10:23-24 KJV
Wishing you a beautiful week filled with little things that will make you smile!
