Welcome to the weekend, my friends! I’m in autumn-inspired cleaning and donation mode, but I’m really enjoying the spacious new space in my home, cleaning up my closet, posting things to local easy-to-buy groups.
Question – Where do you donate or pass things on? It takes a little more effort, but you’re buying more than throwing things out at the donation center. We still donate that way, but remember the local group to provide things when the items are better and don’t need them anymore.
In this week’s blog, soft broccoli florets and spicy sausages are scattered in every bite of this hearty, satisfying pasta. When you’re craving a comfortable food for pasta, but still enjoy a generous meal of vegetables (without messing around with the salad), this broccoli sausage pasta is the answer.
This garlic orange shrimp packs lots of amazing flavours with just a little bit of orange juice, fresh garlic and spices.
Fresh green beans are tossed with sriracha, honey, soy sauce and sesame oil and roasted to perfection, creating these extremely spicy green beans.
I’ve never had sweet potatoes like these glass-enclosed sweet potatoes. They roast with the most attractive caramel brown sugar crust. Soft, sweet and tasty, all at once, are a kind of side dish that will make any meal feel special.
Pumpkin + coffee cake = Autumn dessert magic. With a layer of soft sour cream coffee cake, creamy pumpkin filling and pecan topping with crunchy cinnamon sugar, this pumpkin coffee cake is truly appealing. One slice and you’ll get caught!
Also known as the Peanut Butter Ball, Buckeyes has a smooth peanut butter center and chocolate shell. If you try them, we warn you that you will be making this simple buckeye recipe for all your Christmas treat trays and holiday food gifts.
Creamy homemade chocolate ice cream is loaded to the absolute limit with bite-sized chunks of Oreo cookies, creating this chocolate enthusiast cookie cookie and cream ice cream.
What I crave: My friend Rebecca (yes, last week’s brownie was hers too. She’s been hungry recently!) introduced me to the idea of swapping tuna mayonnaise cottage cheese a few months ago. But it tastes great. I’m 100% converted to making tuna salad without mayonnaise.
My favorite of the week is this cheap little hanging closet organizer, such as hats/leggings/shorts. I actually like it so much, I ordered two more for my boys coat closet, winter gloves and a baseball cap. Inside the closet there are leggings and workout shorts, with winter hats and gloves in separate leggings. The uses of this hanger are almost limitless.
What I’m listening to: Colton Dixon is still repeating here. I came across his music via Forest Frank’s playlist, and he’s been my favorite for the past week or two.
“Behold, God is my salvation. I trust and do not fear. God is my power and my song, and God has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2 ESV
I wish you a beautiful week filled with little things that will make you smile!
