This recipe creates two separate sandwiches if you use a longer Ciabatta Loaf, or two larger sandwiches, using a smaller Ciabatta roll, or one larger sandwich.
Ciabatta Sandwich
The best breads to use for turkey and cheese sandwiches are:
Sourdough – Its tangy and chewy texture pairs perfectly with creamy avocado and flavourful turkey. A light toast is great. CIABATTA – A light and airy interior with a crisp crust that can withstand hearty filling without getting soaked. Multigrain – Adds a healthy nutty flavor and extra texture. It also increases the nutritional value of sandwiches. Whole Wheat – A healthier, slightly sweeter option that complements the richness of avocados and the lean profile of turkeys. Rye Bread – offers a distinctive flavour that contrasts well with the gentleness of turkey and the smoothness of avocado.

Tips for preparing in advance
Want to prepare a sandwich before eating? Here are some tips I’ve learned over the years:
Use sturdy breads (such as Sourdough or Ciabatta). A light toast and resist Sogi. Mash lemon/lime juice and avocado to prevent browning. Ideally store them separately and add them before eating. Wrap tightly in parchment or plastic wrap and refrigerate. It is best to eat within 24 hours. Pack wet ingredients (such as tomatoes) individually to avoid soaking bread.
