Party dips are the unsung heroes of game days and parties. The party is about to begin. Make people happy before the big food arrives and satisfy both kids and adults.

The first dip I’m going to share with you is this Baked Reuben Dip. If you love a good Reuben sandwich, this one will satisfy all your senses. Pastrami or corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss and Gruyère cheeses, Thousand Island dressing, and a few more.

dip ingredients

The great thing about this dip is that you can bake it in a mini slow cooker or crock pot to keep it warm if you want, but make sure you make enough, because if you put that piping hot, bubbly baking dish in front of your guests, they’ll likely eat it right away.

dips & chips

If you have any leftover, it will warm up perfectly the next day.

ladle for soaking

It’s the perfect way to scoop up toasted cocktail rye, rye crackers, crispy bagel chips, and even pretzels.

warm baked dip

It’s rich, delicious, gooey, and smells like you’re walking into your favorite deli!

onion dip

The next dip featured is a homemade French onion dip with caramelized onions. No matter what you buy at the store, it’s so much easier to make this dip at home.

It is rich and flavorful, with a deep flavor of amber-colored onions and a mellow sweetness.

caramelized onions

It’s important to cook slowly and low because the onion is the main ingredient and you want it to be soft and golden brown.

dip in chips

Serve chilled with plain but raised potato chips, your favorite crackers, or cut vegetables for added stability. This is the kind of dip your guests will stop by for. If you have any leftovers, it’s safe and can be stored in the refrigerator for several days.

Serve this impressive dip at your next gathering and you won’t be disappointed.

2 party dips for a crowd

Two delicious dips to serve at your next fun gathering!

material

Baked Reuben Dip Ingredients 1 8 ounces cream cheese, softened 1 pound deli sliced corned beef or pastrami, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 cup drained and squeezed dry sauerkraut 8 ounces shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese 2 tablespoons sour cream 2 Tbl. mayonnaise Thousand Island dressing 1/2 cup Dijon mustada 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon black pepper parsley for garnish Ingredients for Homemade French Onion Dip 3 tablespoons butter 3 white or yellow onions, minced 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper, onion powder Pinch of cayenne pepper 4 ounces cold cream cheese 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup full-fat sour cream Parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

Baked Reuben Dip Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place all the above ingredients in a large bowl and mix well with a spoon until everything is well mixed. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Spread it evenly over the entire surface and smooth the surface. Bake until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool for 25-30 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley. Serve with bagel chips, rye crackers, or toasted cocktail rye bread. Homemade French Onion Dip Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and add the onion, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and pepper. Stir until combined. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until onions are soft, golden brown, and caramelized, about 20 to 25 minutes. Remove and let cool. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise in a bowl and mix until smooth. Add the cooled caramelized onions. Mix until combined. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. Serve at room temperature and garnish with chopped parsley or chives. Serve with solid crinkle-cut plain potato chips.
