What is the Bailardo Bai Strawberry Cup?

We’ve all seen the Virus Dubai Chocolate Bars all over social media. Currently there is a strawberry cup version.

It features round (or sliced) strawberries (kataifu) rich in round (or sliced) strawberries thrown into creamy pistachio butter and tahini (seedling puree) followed by crispy Topped with pistachios.

If you’ve tried the Bailardobai Chocolate Bar and want a new twist, have a chocolate mold, or just love strawberries, this recipe is for you.

Especially ideal for commercially grown strawberries. The sweetness of the other ingredients perfectly balances the sourness and creates a delicious combination.

It’s red, making it perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients and alternatives

If you’d like to try this Bailardobai Chocolate Strawberry Cup (or Bowl), collect the following ingredients:

Strawberries: Fresh strawberries are the star of the show here, but you can also use fresh raspberries, blue berry, or sliced ​​bananas. However, I like to stick to tart fruit, so it offsets the sweetness from the other components. Kataifi: Fine strings of the Filo Pastry (also known as Phyllo fabric). When neatly toasted, it resembles fine vermicelli and finely wheat. This adds an incredible crunch. Find it at international or Middle Eastern grocery stores. If you are in the Sacramento region, the KP International Market in Rancho Cordoba is located in the freezer section. Salt butter: Used to toast until kataifi is flaky and golden brown. If you only have salt-free butter, add pinch of salt to your kataifi. Pistachio Nut Butter: I got Pistachio Nut Butter from Walmart. They are located in the aisle of peanut butter. I only use half of a 6.7 oz jar. This pistachio butter adds a creamy and sweet pistachio flavor and is the main source of the sweetness of the recipe. What does it taste like? Think of Nutella Hazelnut as spreading. If you can’t find pistachio butter, Nutella and Biscov spreads are also a big alternative. Ambitious? You can make pistachio butter by blending pistachios into a food processor and blending them with pistachios until smooth. Tahini: Tahini is simply a sesame seed paste. This is used to balance the sweetness of pistachio butter. I also bought this from Walmart. Chocolate Sauce: I make my own dark chocolate ganache. A smooth blend of dark chocolate and cream. Much better than chocolate syrup! Of course, you can use a simple alternative using store-bought chocolate sauce. To make the ganache, I use melted wafers of Ghilardelli dark chocolate and heavy whipped cream. I didn’t have any heavy whipped cream on my hands, so I improvised by double the amount of aerosol whipped cream and heated it back to liquid state. If you prefer the white chocolate version, use a melted wafer of Ghirardelli white chocolate instead. Chopped Pistachio: The final sprinkle of pistachios adds texture and extra nutty flavor.

How to make it

Step 1: Make Pistachiotahinika Taifi

Pack the crispy green kataifi below and set aside.

In a large pot, melt the butter and add the kataifi.

Turn off the fire. Mix the pistachio butter and tahini until they are fully combined.

Step 2: Make ganache (chocolate sauce)

If you are using store-bought chocolate sauce, skip this step.

Otherwise, spray about 1 cup of aerosol whipped cream (or 1/2 cup of heavy whipped cream) into a microwave safe container and heat in the melted wafer and microwave for 1 minute.

Add whisk until smooth and shiny. If the chocolate wafer is not incorporated into the cream, return it to the microwave for a little longer and mix again. Please put it aside.

Step 3: Prepare strawberries and pistachios

Wash the strawberries with water and rinse thoroughly. Dry with a paper towel. Cut off the edges of the top leaf and set the strawberries aside.

Derived pistachios and coarsely chop them. I like to put the decheled pistachios in a Ziploc bag and grind them with rolling pins. Please put it aside.

Step 4: Prepare a cup (or bowl)

Now that I have all the ingredients, it’s time to assemble it (the fun part).

Layer delicious Dubai strawberry desserts in a tall cup or medium bowl.

Starting with strawberries, followed by a drizzle in chocolate sauce, 2-3 tablespoons of pistachiophilo, followed by more strawberries, sauce and other philos.

Whipped cream (if used), chopped pistachios, or enjoy.

Prepare in advance

If you run out of time, you can prepare it by pre-made the Filo mixture and chocolate ganache. Store them individually and assemble them just before serving to keep everything completely crispy.

If the Filo Pistachio cream mixture is packed, quickly reheat and loosen in the microwave. The toasted phyllo remains crispy, as if you made it.

Chocolate ganache becomes thicker into a paste when refrigerated. If that happens, simply heat it in the microwave until it returns to smooth and poured consistency.
