These chicken legs are infused with their favorite bold flavours while rubbing the basic condiments easily. This recipe is not only delicious, but also quick and easy to make. All you need is an air fryer, chicken legs and a selection of seasonings.

There’s no marinade or salty water, so get super juicy chicken in just 35 minutes with an air fryer! Use a simple, flavorful blend of seasonings or experiment with some of the other options.

For those who want to play with a variety of flavors, we include variations such as Cajun Spice, the charming TexMex, and Indian flavours. You never have to settle for bland chicken again!

Ingredient Notes

Chicken: This recipe uses drumsticks. You can also use seasonings on bone-inch thighs, boneless thighs, or breasts. Cooking oil/Melted butter: Optional, used for extra crunchy skin. Neutral cooking oils such as avocados and vegetable oils can also be used in place of olive oil. Herbs and Spices: A blend of paprika, garlic and onion powder, dried oregano, basil, salt and black pepper is a great purpose condiment.

Spritz oil

If you are using a citrus juice-free variation, we recommend lightly spritzed the drumsticks with cooking oil or melted butter to make them crisp. However, if you are using variations that include citrus juice, you don’t need to do that.

Use olive oil, avocado oil, vegetable oil, or high-quality cooking spray.

When it comes to oil application, you will need a light spritz with an oil Mr or brush. You aim to lightly cover the surface of the food rather than soaking it. This minimal application helps to enhance the texture without adding excessive fat.

Air Fryer Tips

Using Liner: Cleaning up is easy when using an air fryer parchment liner. There are fewer scrubs and I enjoy it more. Use a liner designed for air fryers to ensure there are small holes that allow airflow.

Don’t be crowded: feed food in the air fryer basket to the breathing chamber. If the air fryer isn’t too big, cook it in batches. A completely golden result is worth it. And don’t forget to throw and swing everything along the way. That way everything will cook evenly.

Beware of things: the air fryer works fast and no one wants an overcooked chicken. Use a meat thermometer if possible (to reach a safe internal temperature of 165°F) and check things towards the end, nailing its perfect dongness.

Storage and reheat

Place leftovers in an airtight container for 3-5 days.

Highly microwaves in 30 seconds, until warmer.

Reheat with a 350°F air fryer. Place the chicken in a basket and cook for 3-5 minutes or until warm.

*If the remaining seasonings are rubbed, they can be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
