Creamy cottage cheese smoothie
Child friendly! My kids eat these smoothies and don’t think they contain cottage cheese. They are obsessed with some of their favorite fruits paired with sweet honey. Who doesn’t love it? Even those who hate cottage cheese will love this smoothie. I tested it on my mother. She knows that her mother hates cottage cheese.
A good source of protein. Smoothies are often made with the addition of yogurt, so don’t you think it’s time to try something new? Cottage cheese adds creaminess and protein, but the flavor is not appealing and doesn’t like it in smoothies. (Try the same trick as cottage cheese eggs. This is a scrambled egg made with a few dollars in cottage cheese.)
I naturally made it sweeter. The smoothie is made with ripe bananas that add flavor and sweetness along with honey drizzle. If your banana is very ripe, you may not need honey. I always use frozen bananas and use extra thick smoothies.
Versatility. You can use almost any type of fruit to make cottage cheese smoothies. Various types of sweeteners are also available. Customize your smoothie and make it exactly the way you like it!

Ingredient Notes
Banana: You need half the frozen banana. Don’t forget that the bananas are ripe and smoothie will become sweet. If you have some bananas on the counter and maybe everyone has a bit of freckle, slice them into a frozen bag as they are ready to make smoothie. Learn the best ways to freeze bananas. Frozen Fruit: This particular cottage cheese smoothie used slices of frozen peaches. The peach and banana combination is very tasty, but you can use frozen fruit to make smoothies. Cottage Cheese: All kinds of cottage cheese work. Choose what you like. Milk: Again, you can use any type of milk. Milk is necessary to thin your cottage cheese smoothie, so blenders don’t have to work too hard. Honey: Honey really complements the flavor of this cottage cheese smoothie, and I feel that one tablespoon offers plenty of sweetness. If you’re used to a very sweetened, pre-made smoothie, you might want to add a little more.
Customize your cottage cheese smoothie
Uses a variety of fruits. As long as you keep the ratios very similar, you’ll be fine! Try classic strawberries and bananas, or use mango and pineapple to create a tropical spin. Try another sweetener. Use agave syrup, maple syrup, or granulated sugar instead of honey. You can also make a cottage cheese smoothie without adding any sugar, especially if the banana you use is wonderfully ripe. Powerhouse add-in. It keeps this smoothie relatively basic, but you can add more smoothies by adding it multiple times. Think flax, hemp, or chia seeds. Increase protein with your favorite protein powder scoop. Add bee pollen. The options are endless! Add vegetables. Smoothies are the perfect place to sneak into some vegetables. Try spinach or frozen cauliflower. Adding greens will give you a powerful blender the best work.
Smoothies are best enjoyed immediately. If there are any leftovers, refrigerate for up to one day. The consistency of fruit melting is less consistent. Smoothies can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight or until smooth and consistent smoothie is.
Blend all ingredients into a blender until smooth.
½ Ripe banana, frozen, 1 cup of frozen peach slices, or frozen fruit, ½ cup cottage cheese, ½ cup milk, 1 tablespoon of honey, or taste
Pour into two glasses and serve immediately.
Banana: Ripe bananas, smoothies become sweet. It’s ready to turn into a smoothie as it just freezes the banana when it’s overripe. If the bananas are not frozen, the consistency of the smoothie will be less consistent. If you want to thicken your smoothie, consider adding ice to your blender. Choose a different fruit: Cottage cheese smoothies can be made with most fruits you like. Try frozen strawberries, blueberries, mangoes, mixed tropical fruits, cherry and more. You will need 1-1½ cups of fruit. Milk/cottage cheese: Smoothies can be made with any kind of milk or cottage cheese, large or small tofu. Nutritional information is calculated using 2% milk and low-fat cottage cheese. Storage: Smoothies are best enjoyed immediately. If there is anything left over, you can refrigerate it, but it becomes less consistent when the fruit thaws. Smoothies can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight.
