If you’re looking for a dessert that’s ready in 5 minutes, tastes like Christmas in a bowl, and is a crowd-pleaser by the snack table, this gingerbread dip is for you. It’s thick and whipped, sweetened with molasses and warm spices, and tastes like gingerbread cookie dough.

Ingredient notes + variations
This dip is made with a base of cream cheese, warm spices, molasses, and a fluffy whipped topping. Mix everything together in one bowl for the creamiest texture.
Cream cheese – For the richest, smoothest texture, use full fat. Room temperature is important for blending without lumps. Brown Sugar + Powdered Sugar – Sweetens the dip and adds a soft, whipped texture. The brown sugar adds a caramel flavor. Molasses – Gives classic gingerbread flavor and rich color. Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves – a classic gingerbread spice blend. If you prefer stronger spices, adjust the taste. Cool Whip/Whipped Cream – Folds into an airy, light dip. Homemade whipped cream also works well. Sprinkles + Gingerbread Cookies (optional) – for topping and presentation. Dippers – Have fun using mixes like graham crackers, Nilla wafers, and gingerbread cookies.

Precautions
advance instructions
This gingerbread dip can be made up to 2 days in advance. Simply prepare according to the instructions, transfer to an airtight container, and store in the refrigerator. Wait to add the sprinkles and cookies until just before serving. This will keep it looking crispy.
Precautions for storage
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. Stir briefly before serving again. Because it contains dairy products and whipped cream, it does not freeze easily and has a grainy texture when thawed, so it should be chilled and consumed within a few days.
