This impossible pie is versatile
You can also replace ground beef with ground turkey or ground chicken. You can also use black beans if you like. I love mixing in cheese in this recipe, so feel free to use whatever your family likes. If your family doesn’t like onions or peppers, leave them out.
What is Bisquick?
Bisquick is a baking mix typically found in the baking section of grocery stores. It is very versatile and many people make pancakes with it. If you don’t have one, you can also create one yourself. Click here for the recipe!
Can I make it in a pie plate?
Yes, you can also make it in a 10-inch pie plate if you prefer. We’ve made it both ways and it works fine either way.

Impossible Chili Pie
This easy Impossible Chili Pie is a classic Bisquick recipe from the 1970s. Made with simple ingredients, it creates a hearty and comforting one-pan dinner that the whole family will love.
Green pepper rings for garnish, optional Add browned ground beef, onions and peppers to a skillet on the stove. Drain and return to the pot. Add the drained chili beans, corn, green chiles, pepper, salt, garlic, chili powder, hot sauce, and salsa.
Mix all ingredients and heat for about 5 minutes. You can spray a 10-inch pie plate or use a 2-quart square baking dish. Pour the ingredients into a plate and sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded cheese on top. Mix together Bisquick, eggs, and milk. Pour over the cheese.
Add remaining cheese and pepper rings. Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Makes about 8 servings.
You can also use a 9X9 baking dish.
