This strawberry pie with jello is actually set up the way it needs to be, with the slices clean and every bite gives it a summery taste. The filling is bright and shiny, and the homemade whipped cream is thick and creamy, and the whole thing goes together without drama.
Materials are required
This recipe is a basic strawberry pie recipe made with Jello! On a hot summer day it’s really easy and perfect. This is everything you need:
Pie Crust – This recipe uses ready-made frozen pie crust purchased from a grocery store. However, feel free to use any of the pie crust recipes: butter pie crust or easy pie crust recipes. Fresh Strawberry – Star of the Show: Enter the strawberry. These were the ripe little suckers I washed and hulled. The sweeter the better. 🙂 Good rules for strawberries…and a general lifestyle. Water, Cornstarch, Granulated Sugar + Strawberry Gel Oh Mix – These are what you’re making zeros in your pie. Cornstarch for structural purposes, sugar for sweetness, and a jelly mix of flavors! Heavy whipped cream, powdered sugar + vanilla extract – and all of these are used to make homemade whipped cream! Or you could use a cool whip, but trust me when you say homemade is the best.

Washing and strawberries on the hull. Set them aside upside down on a baked (and cooled) pie shell. Pour water, cornstarch and sugar in a liquid measuring cup or small bowl. Mix until most dissolved. Microwave for 1-2 minutes until the mixture foams and thickens. (It should be translucent.) Mix the strawberry zero powder into the sugar water mixture and pour it into the strawberries. Cover until set for 2-3 hours and refrigerate. In a large bowl, use a hand or stand mixer to extract whipped heavy cream, sugar and vanilla extract together until hard peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the pie and garnish with fresher strawberries. I catch a cold.

Recipe Tips for Success
Use ice-cold water: helps the gelatin mixture to be set properly. Room Temperature Ingredients: Make sure the material is at room temperature for best results. Cool thoroughly: Make sure the pie is completely cooled before serving. Finally garnish: add fresh berries just before serving for the best fresh flavor.

Storage + Create a direction to the destination
Store covered pie in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Go ahead: You can make pie (without whipped cream) up to 24 hours in advance. Add whipped cream topping just before serving.
Freeze: Freeze is not recommended. The gelatin and strawberry textures do not last well once thawed.

This pie is simple and reliable, and honestly, it seems like it’s been much more time than it actually is. Printable recipe cards can be found below: Have a great day, friends! 🙂

Strawberry Jellopy FAQ
Can I use store-bought whipped toppings?
Yes, but the homemade whipped cream tastes much better and only takes a few minutes.
Why is my stuffing slipping?
It’s possible that they didn’t cook for long enough to fully activate the cornstarch. Before adding Jell-O powder, make sure it is thick and translucent.
What is blind baking?
Blind baking is simply the pre-baking of the pie crust before filling it. If you are making cream-based pie, you will need a pre-baked pie crust, as the filling is made individually.
Blind baking instructions
Once you have made the pie crust, roll out the pie plates to fill them up. Stick the dough with a fork, add a square of parchment to the crust and fill the pie weight. If you don’t have pie weights, dried rice, beans, or even flour will work! You just want to hold the crust in place to prevent shrinkage and bubbles.
Variations of recipes
Replace the pie shell with a homemade or ready-made graham cracker crust. Use a cool whip instead of homemade whipped cream. Add mandarin orange along with strawberries and add a citrus twist or add other fresh fruits you love with strawberries! A bit of melted chocolate drizzles on top of this no-bakestroberry pie! Twist the Raspberry Jell-O a bit, then a bit. Stuff a thin layer of cream cheese under the strawberries to add a richer pie. If you don’t have a fresh season, use frozen strawberries (thaw and drain first).
